The BT-211P car kit
features Bluetooth connectivity for most Bluetooth enabled cell phones to give you a great hands-free experience. After pairing, your cell phone will automatically sync-up with the BT211N, so you can leave it in your pocket, briefcase, or purse. You are able to make calls by voice dialing (phone dependant) or by the keypad on the touchscreen, receive or reject calls and see caller ID, call waiting, mute, and privacy. And, yes, you can even dial DTMF codes such as PINs and extension numbers! The BT-211 automatically mutes the factory radio/head unit when a bluetooth call is active. The included microphone and hands-free speaker can be located to give you the best performance, or if your car is already hands-free wired use the factory mic and speaker. Attach your iPod to the provided iPod cable and do all the command and control thru the BT-211 touchscreen iPod controls. Browse your playlists, albums, artists, songs, genre, or press shuffle play to play them all in shuffled order. No need to create mini-playlists as some iPod interfaces make you do. The hands-free speaker and Stereo outputs from the BT-211 can be nominally adjusted right on the touchscreen. The BT211 also interfaces to your vehicles headlight switch. So when your headlights come on the BT211 screen dims to the level you set. And, yes the BT211P can be upgraded to the BT211N (GPS-211) at any time, plug and play.

The BT-211N includes all the great features of the BT-211P, but adds the GPS-211 navigation system. The GPS Nav system is a separate module that can be located anywhere in the vehicle. The GPS Nav comes with comprehensive map coverage of USA, Canada, and Puerto Rico, with over 12,000 POIs. Easy to program, easy to use. Great text-to-speech; turns and streets by name, not just direction. The BT-211N mutes the Radio/Head unit when it is announcing directions. All audibles are from the GPS Nav output through the Hands-free speaker. The Maps can be viewed in 2D or 3D and you can display POIs of your choice. The GPS Nav will continue to run during Bluetooth hands-free calling, or while viewing the iPod command and control screens.
